The Kino & Cake film club invites you to a special film club evening at City Kino Munich on Monday, January 26. The film HAMNET will be shown. The meeting point is at 5:00 p.m. directly at the cinema, followed by the joint film screening. After the film, there will be cake and an opportunity to discuss the film in a relaxed atmosphere. Participation in the film club evening is limited to a maximum of 30 people. There is an additional charge for participating in the club event, including cake, which is charged on top of the regular cinema ticket price. In summer 2025, cinema audiences can expect a special highlight: on July 25, 2025 at 6 p.m., Richard Wagner's opera “Die Meistersinger von Nürnberg” will be brought live to the big screen in a new production by Matthias Davids and under the musical direction of Daniele Gatti. The cinema broadcast will take place with a two-hour delay to the performance in the Festspielhaus and will include two half-hour breaks, during which a cinema-exclusive intermission program (approx. 10 minutes each) will be broadcast. A celebration for all Wagner lovers - directly at the cinema, without a waiting list.

On Sunday, you can experience the master's music live at our movie theater: Munich cult band **The Blissful Bob** have been delighting Bob Dylan fans for years with their very own interpretations of the master's songs. So it's only natural that the Munich quintet should get the cinema audience in the mood for “Like A Complete Unknown” with a mini-concert. The Berlinale and X Verleih, in cooperation with Yorck City Cinemas, present the broadcast of the opening gala and the opening film of the 75th Berlinale. 
The world premiere of Tom Tykwer's latest feature film DAS LICHT will open the 75th Berlin International Film Festival on February 13, 2025. The German-French production will be presented as a Berlinale Special Gala at the Berlinale Palast.
The stream of the gala will begin at 7 pm. The opening film will be broadcasted afterwards.
